Abstract: A baseline survey of macrobenthic and meiobenthic assemblages inhabiting the Eatons Neck Disposal Site and immediate vicinity of western Long Island Sound was conducted from October 1974.through June 1975. The data were used to describe the benthic assemblages of a disposal site that had received dredged material and other substances for a period of about 71 years, 1902 to 1973. No dumping had taken place at the site for about one year prior to collection of the baseline data.
