Abstract: Purpose: The purpose of this report is to present preliminary data regarding the use of videography to estimate Silver Carp burst swimming speeds. The authors document the use of videotaped Silver Carp leaping behavior as a means of estimating, in-situ, burst swimming speeds, fish leap height, and horizontal distance traveled during a leap.
