Abstract: Water quality modeling efforts of the Mississippi Sound and Louisiana Coastline are limited due to the lack of readily available data with which to set model boundary conditions and to calibrate/validate. In an effort to facilitate future modeling efforts, this report presents information on where to obtain water quality data and what data are available, including the number of samples and the sampling time periods. Several different agencies were contacted during this study, including the United States Geological Survey (USGS), Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (LA DNR), Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LA DEQ), the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), and Battelle. The data that are presented in this report are not all-inclusive. The data retrieved can be found on the CD accompanying this report. The goal of this study was to find all available water quality data for use with the water quality models, such as CE-QUAL-ICM (ICM).
