| Description: | Technical Report Partial Abstract: The Timber Dike Management System is a computer-aided management system for optimizing allocation of funds for maintenance and repair (M&R) of timber dikes. The system employs a condition index (CI) for consistent, objective rating of dike condition, and provides easy access to information critical for M&R management. For timber dikes, while maintenance options are limited, savings in maintenance cost can be achieved by optimizing the timing and scope of the maintenance work. |
