Abstract: A sediment impact assessment study was conducted to evaluate channel improvement plan: for Cypress Creek near Houston, TX. A one-dimensional numerical model was used to determine potential for scour and deposition with the proposed design. The model study concluded that the proposed channel would have greater sediment transport potential than the existing channel. However, if the channel grass lining is properly maintained, t here should be no significant aggradation or degradation problems. A more detailed study was recommended before final desing is completed.-
