U.S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station.
Technical memorandumGeneral: This memorandum constitutes a final report on the model study performed at the U. S. Waterways Experiment Station on the structures designed for possible future power development at the Franklin Falls dam, on the Pemigewasset River, New Hampshire. The tests were conducted on a model which was built undistorted to a linear scale ratio, model-to-prototype, of 1 to 25. The general purpose of the model study was to determine the adequacy of the design of the powerhouse forebay and appurtenant structures, and to develop means of correcting any unsatisfactory conditions found to exist.
