About Knowledge Core

Knowledge Core, a service of the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Information Science and Knowledge Management (ISKM) Branch, collects, preserves and distributes ERDC's research publications and historical knowledge. The growing collection includes articles, technical reports, working papers, photographs, videos and more.

The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) is one of the premier engineering and scientific research organizations in the world. As the research organization of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, ERDC conducts research and development in support of the Soldier, military installations, and civil works projects (water resources, environmental missions, etc.) as well as for other federal agencies, state and municipal authorities, and with U.S. industry through innovative work agreements. ERDC research is developing innovative solutions for a safer, better world.

Knowledge Core supports a variety of formats, and we encourage you to deposit not just the finished work, but also related materials (including data, images, audio and video files, etc.). Beyond what a traditional technical report or journal can accommodate.

Context

As one of the most diverse engineering and scientific research organizations in the world, ERDC conducts research and development in support of the Soldier, military installations, and the Corps of Engineers' civil works mission, as well as for other federal agencies, state and municipal authorities, and with U.S. industries through innovative work agreements. Knowledge Core places content in the larger context of the ERDC environment, side-by-side with the research contributions of others in the ERDC and USACE Communities.

Restricted Materials

Materials in Knowledge Core are open to the general public. The ERDC ISKM Branch also maintains a secured website which requires a USACE or ERDC issued DoD Common Access Card (CAC) for materials that are restricted to users affiliated with ERDC or USACE. Submitting to Knowledge Core

ERDC publications, including technical reports, that are edited by ISKM branch editors are automatically added to Knowledge Core. Other documents may be added if they are approporate for the collection. Read How to Submit for submission details.
