Description: CRREL Report
Abstract: Some physical characteristics of two grounded floebergs near Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, are described. Cross-sectional profiles of the sails and keels of both floebergs were obtained. Additional studies included investigations of the internal structure of the floebergs, surveys of the sea floor for evidence of scoring induced during grounding of the floebergs, and a brief examination of the organic and sedimentary debris found entrained within the floebergs.
