Description: Technical report
In support of the U.S. Army Engineer District, Buffalo, the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center conducted a 2-year study of the movement of simulated ordnance (SO) deployed in Lake Erie near the mouth of the Toussaint River. The Toussaint River is adjacent to the former Erie Army Depot, a formerly used defense site (FUDS) that contains approximately 3 miles of lake front. The objective of this study was to determine if ordnance that might be located in areas adjacent to the navigation channel could be transported into the channel and subsequently be encountered by future dredging operations.
