| Description: | Technical report This report presents results of inspections of coastal structures monitored previously under the Monitoring Completed Navigation Projects (MCNP) Program. Expedient, low-cost inspections consisting of walking inspections and/or boat surveys were performed at 14 sites. Positions of breakwater and jetty armor units were compared with their positions in previous aerial photography and photogrammetric surveys. Settlement of portions of the structures as well as voids in their armor also were noted, and photographs of the structures were obtained. Summaries of the inspection results as well as recommendations are presented in this report. The work was conducted under the “Periodic Inspections” work unit of the MCNP program. |
