Description: Technical Report
Summary: The purpose of the investigation is: (1) to determine satisfactory methods, structures and design criteria for surface and subsurface drainage of stabilized turf surfaces on permeable base courses. (2) to observe the relationship between rainfall, surface and subsurface runoff on turf covered permeable base courses. (3) to observe the effect of length of overland flow on surface runoff from turf surfaces (4) to study the relationship of permeable base design, to turf production and-maintenance (5) to observe the development of turf using various grass and nutritional combinations and (6) to determine the resistance of a stabilized turf surface on a granular to traffic abrasion.
