Description: Technical Report
Abstract: Two stations on the Greenland Ice Cap were instrumented as follows: (1) copper resistance thermometers were installed to determine the effect of the buildings on the subsurface temperatures; (2) a recording bench mark was installed and the elevations of selected points in the buildings were determined by leveling from the benchmark; (3) reference points were established at which diameters of the tubes are measured and from which the orientation of the tubes can be determined by observations with a transit; and (4) various types of pressure cells were installed in order to determine some of the forces causing deformation of the buildings.
