Purpose: This Coastal and Hydraulics Engineering Technical Note (CHETN) describes tools that have been adapted to assist with Regional Sediment Management (RSM) activities at the US Army Engineer Districts, Mobile and New York. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) designed for RSM in the Mobile District, and numerical models that have been adapted for regional studies within the New York District, are discussed. NOTE: This is a revised version of a CHETN originally released in June of 2001.
