Description: Technical Report
Abstract: This report documents the results of a 2-year research and development effort by the Consortium for Advanced Positioning System (CAPS). As a result of this program, integration of real-time site positioning with three-dimensional computer-aided design has been accomplished and commercialized. This technology achievement will greatly facilitate construction site layout and enable the capture of "as-builts" as a routine part of the construction process. Integration was achieved with three different site positioning systems: SPSi 's proprietary technology RtPM; total stations and global positioning. NOTE: This file is large.
