Technical Report-
Abstract: The PLUmes MEasurement System (PLUMES) was developed under the Measurement of Entrainment and Transport work unit, Dredging Research Program Technical Area 1, "Analysis of Dredged Material Placed in Open Water," to monitor the transport of suspended sediment from dredging and dredged material disposal operations. This system can monitor the transport nearly synoptically, both horizontally and vertically. This report provides technical information on the overall system, guidance on locating specific information in the standard technical manuals provided by the manufacturers of the individual system components, technical information on special features of the system components not included in the manufacturer's manuals, information on system operation and deployment procedures, descriptions of the PLUMES software, and information on the data analysis procedures.-
