Abstract: The Campground Receipt Study (CRS) was established to systematically collect information on visitor characteristics at Corps of Engineers fee campgrounds. This system has proved to be an efficient method of collecting trend data. Since the creation of the CRS, many changes have been made in the study procedures, data collection form, and study sites. These changes have been described in previous reports. This report describes the 1990 data, the trends in camping use indicated by the CRS data collected from 1984 to 1990, the yearly and daily occupancy rate, and the revenue per site for each campground. The CRS data represent the best available nationwide sample of descriptive characteristics of visitors to Corps campgrounds. The database can be used by all levels within the Corps to examine current use patterns and, with several years of data, to monitor and evaluate changes in visitor characteristics over time.-
