A 1:40-scale model was used to verify design of the Blue River Channel Improvement Project through a highly developed area of Kansas City, Missouri. Eleven bridges located within the project reach complicated hydraulic conditions within the channel. The report describes various bridge and pier modifications tested to improve these flow conditions. Tests made to evaluate the proposed channel riprap design are also described.en_US
