Abstract: The experimental field investigation reported herein was conducted at the Allatoona Lake Project during 1968, 1969, and 1970 to determine the effects resulting from operation of destratification equipment, specifically a diffused air pump, on the water quality of Allatoona Lake and releases therefrom, and to develop criteria for design and operation of similar equipment at other impoundment projects. The diffused air pump was located about 2,000 feet upstream from the Allatoona Dam.
