| Abstract: | The purpose of this report is to present the findings of the investigation conducted to determine the feasibility of providing navigation improvements at the Northwestern Michigan College Maritime Academy Harbor in Grand Traverse Bay, Traverse City, Michigan. This report analyzes the problems and opportunities, planning objectives and desired outcomes. Alternatives were developed to address the determined objectives. These alternatives include a plan of no action and various combinations of structural and non-structural measures. The economic and environmental impacts of the alternatives are then evaluated and a feasible plan is selected. The report also presents details on Corps and sponsor participation needed to implement the plan and then concludes with a recommendation for authorization. |
