Abstract: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Valley Division, Regional Planning and Environment Division South, has prepared this Supplemental Environmental Assessment for the New Orleans District to evaluate the potential impacts associated with the construction of a dike armoring feature along the west Calcasieu Lake boundaries of Calcasieu River confined disposal facilities (CDF) 17 and 19 to prevent wave erosion impacts to the disposal sites. The proposed project is located near Hackberry, Louisiana, in Cameron Parish. The proposed action would consist of the construction of rock/concrete dike armoring structures in Calcasieu Lake located adjacent to Calcasieu River mile 19.
