Abstract: One of the objectives of the Critical Processes work unit on water quality within the Wetlands Research Program (WRP) is to recommend techniques for assessing the functional ability of wetlands to improve water quality. This technical note provides initial guidance on the use of a screen-level approach for estimating the amount of water quality improvement provided by wetlands.
