Abstract: This Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet (hereafter MRGO) Ecosystem Restoration Plan Feasibility Report was prepared by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Mississippi Valley Division, New Orleans District. It includes input from Federal, as well as Louisiana and Mississippi state agencies. The purpose of this study was to develop a comprehensive ecosystem restoration plan to restore the Lake Borgne ecosystem and the areas affected by the MRGO navigation channel as required by Section 7013 of WRDA 2007. The period of analysis is from implementation and extends 50 years into the future from the estimated first year of construction, 2015 to 2065.
