Description: Technical Memorandum
From the Preface: Better descrlptions of waves of finite height in shallow water are constantly being sought, Such descriptions are needed from a design standpoint in determining design wave crest elevations (which in turn determine structure elevations); and water surface elevations and particle velocities which in turn determine forces on structures, This report presents a mathematical description of some of the higher approximations to nonlinear water waves, and is particularly important in indicating limiting heights.
