Description: | Special Report Abstract: Cellular materials such as polyurethane foam composites have many military applications because of their reduced logistical footprints relative to other structural materials. This report provides a detailed literature review concerning the current usage, chemistry, analytical methods, and shortcomings for predicting the performance of polyurethane foam composites. This report also provides an outline of basic research methodologies needed to relate microscale phenomena to macroscale performance. |
