| Abstract: | University of Illinois Department of Civil Engineering under the Auspices of the Engineering Experiment Station, Urbana, Illinois, REPORT ON SURVEY OF LITERATURE IN CONNECTION WITH THE DYNAMIC BEARING CAPACITY OF SOILS, by Narbey Khachaturian, October 1959, 24pp. Prepared for the U. S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station, Vicksburg, Mississippi as part of DA-22079-eng-240 R & D Subproject No. 8-12-95-420, "The Dynamic Bearing Capacity of Soils." A critical survey is made of the literature on the structural dynamic of soils. Only the report contributing to the subject matter are included. The reference are presented in the following four distinct areas: (1) laboratory dynamic tests of soils, (2) field dynamic tests on soils, (3) design concept and methods in structural dynamics, and (4) miscellaneous items of information contributing to the soil dynamics. The report contains altogether 114 entries. The important references in each group are discussed briefly. |
