Abstract: Two numerical models, to predict wave refraction and shoaling in shallow water are described. One model is formulated in terms of wave rays, the other in terms of wave spectra. Output from each model is illustrated and compared to observations made at CERC's Field Research Facility at Duck, North Carolina.
