Abstract: | The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is economic justification for Federal participation in coastal storm risk management in additional reaches of St. Johns County. If it is found that there is a Federal interest, the further purpose of the study is to analyze alternatives and formulate a recommended plan for coastal storm risk management to include incidental opportunities for environmental restoration within the South Ponte Vedra Beach, Vilano Beach, and Summer Haven reaches of the St. Johns County coastline. This report is preliminary and written to the level of detail of the main report, other details may be added and is intended for planning purposes only. Both the final real property lines and land values estimates are subject to change even after approval of this report. There may be modifications to the plans that occur during Pre-construction, Engineering and Design (PED) phase, thus changing the final acquisition area(s) and/or administrative and land costs. |
