Abstract: | This report presents data and estimating procedures for predicting the cost of several types of work involved with maintaining water systems, including cleaning and cement mortar lining of pipes, cathodic protection of buried pipes, repair of pipe breaks and leaks, replacing (relaying) water mains, and chemical addition to produce water that is neither corrosive nor scale-forming. This report is intended to serve as a tool for water supply engineers required to develop planning level cost estimates of alternative rehabilitation measures. |
