Description: | Technical note BACKGROUND: The design of most coastal construction projects requires local tide and tidal datum information. Such parameters as tide range, highest and lowest predicted water levels, and the extreme observed high and low water levels are important design parameters. In addition, these water levels need to be related to a known elevation called a tidal datum (see CETN-I-12). |
