Description: | Technical memorandum Synopsis: This memorandum constitutes a comprehensive report on n hydraulic model study conducted at the U. S. Waterways Experiment Station, Vicksburg, Mississippi, for the purpose of determining the best plan for the enlargement of the maneuver area and the reduction of wave action in Agate Bay Harbor, Minnesota. This investigation was authorized 6 September 1942 by the Chief of Engineers and was conducted for the Duluth District. The model study involved the use of a 1-to-150 scale model reproducing the entire harbor, adjacent shore lines, all docks within the h.1rbor, the two existing breakwaters, and the adjoining area of Lake Superior to the 90-ft depth contour. |
