Description: | Technical memorandum Introduction: This memorandum is a report of the results of triaxial compression tests performed on the loess existent at the site of the proposed Mill Creek Dam, Walla Walla, Washington. The tests were performed at the request of the Chief of Engineers and are exclusive of those previously reported in .Technical Memorandum No. 156-1 of the Experiment Station, entitled: "Investigation of the Proposed Mill Crook Dam, Walla Walla, Washington." Triaxial compression, relative density, and Atterberg limits tests were performed on: (1) remolded borrow pit material and (2) undisturbed samples. All teats wore conducted by the personnel of the Soil Mechanics Laboratory of the U. S. Waterways Experiment Station, Vicksburg, Mississippi. |
