Description: | Technical memorandum General: This memorandum constitutes a final report on the study performed at the U. S. Waterways Experiment Station on the spillway and stilling basin for Arkatbutla dam. The study was concluded upon at, two-dimensional undistorted model of a 100-ft. interior section of the spillway and stilling basin to the linear scale ratio, model-to-prototype, of 1 to 25. The general purpose of the model study was to examine the hydraulic performance of the proposed structure, with especial reference to hydraulic safety at maximum discharge, and to correct any uneconomic, unsafe, or undesirable conditions found to exist. |
