Abstract: The primary purpose of this study was to establish the allowable load-carrying capacities of the airfield pavements at Godman Army Airfield (GAA), Fort Knox, Kentucky, and to determine overlay requirements for C-130 aircraft operations. Godman Army Airfield is located in that portion of the Fort Knox military reservation which lies in Hardin County, Kentucky, approximately 6 miles south of West Point, Kentucky, and is adjacent to U.S. Highway 31W.
