Abstract: The purpose of this report is to present the results of a condition survey performed at Loring Air Force Base (LAFB), Maine, during 27 July-1 August 1972. The following three major areas of interest were considered in this condition survey: (A.) The structural condition of the. primary airfield pavements. (B.) The condition of pavement repairs and the types of maintenance materials that have been used at this airfield. (C.) Any detrimental effects of frost action to the pavement facilities. This report is limited to a presentation of visual observations of the pavement conditions, discussion of these observations, and pertinent remarks with regard to the performance of the pavements. No physical tests of the pavements, foundations, or patching materials were performed during this survey. The annual pavement maintenance plan for LAFB is presented in Appendix A.
