Abstract: Abstract: This document presents a historic context, integrity analysis, and evaluation for the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) of the installation as a whole for Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. This work is a companion study to ERDC-CERL TR-16-4, which documented the cultural landscapes of the existing five historic districts. The report meets the requirements in the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) for federal agencies to address their cultural resources—defined as any prehistoric or historic district, site, building, structure, or object. Identification of potentially significant properties is achieved only through a survey and evaluation to associate a property within a larger historic context.
