Abstract: Kuwaiti oil well control specialists try to get close to a blazing oil well fire in order to assess the extent of the fire and to direct the fire control rig into the best position to extinguish the fire at the Rumaila Oil Field in southern Iraq. The Corps’ Task Force RIO (Restore Iraqi Oil) managed the firefighting and then the restoration of the oil facilities to production.
