Description: | Technical Report Abstract: The US Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station has developed a hydrographic survey package, The package, which is of a general nature, includes software that can support a variety of commercially available hardware. Two types of equipment configurations are available with the system: the first configuration places most of the equipment on the shore, whereas the second configuration places most of the equipment on the boat. The most important part of the development is a complete software package intended to answer most of the needs of US Army Corps of Engineer Districts for small-boat surveys. The package includes presurvey line generation and equipment definition programs, a versatile survey program, and several postsurvey programs for plan-view and cross-section plotting, dredging computations, tide removal, and graphical screen editing. All software is form-driven and is written in FORTRAN. |
