Abstract: Confidence intervals are presented for the spectral estimates from the Coastal Data Information Program. The intervals are based on chi-square values. Tables of the required chi-square values are also presented. Two methods are derived and presented for building confidence intervals for the estimates of longshore component of radiation stress. The relative merits of both methods are discussed and the more useful of the two is indicated.
