Description: Special Report
Abstract: An ice control structure was chosen as a solution to ice-jam flooding of the business and residental communities of West Seneca and Buffalo, New York, along Cazenovia Creek. A model study was proposed to evaluate its performance before actual construction. This report describes the design, execution, and results of the model study, which led to the eventual acceptance of the proposed ICS by the U.S. Army Engineer District, Buffalo.
