Description: | Special Report Abstract: This report examines linear and planar defects in ice: dislocations, grain boundaries and stacking faults. The authors review experimental results and theoretical models on the defects' atomic structures and physical properties. In addition, experimental techniques used for direct observation of defects, experimental results and theoretical interpretation of dislocation mobility and the role of dislocations in plastic deformation are considered. |
