Abstract: This report presents a method for a digital computer solution, using the FORTRAN language, of the modified Berggren equation for computing depths of frost and thaw penetration in non-homogeneous (multilayered) soil systems. A program source listing, sample solutions, and tables of thermal properties of soils and construction materials are presented.
