Summary: Resonance curves, defining the relation between displacement, velocity, or power and exciter frequency are analysed. A distinction is made between excitation by sinusoidal force vectors of constant amplitude and by vectors whose amplitudes increase with the square of the frequency. Both types are applied to one-degree-of-freedom systems with linear characteristics. Evaluation of these resonance curves to determine dynamic responses is discussed and followed up by some practical applications.-
