Description: | Miscellaneous paper Abstract: Using concrete mixture proportions furnished by the Alabama Power Company, information was developed on the strength, creep, and thermal properties of a hardened concrete similar to that planned for use in the Farley Nuclear Containment Structure. In addition, physical properties of the freshly mixed concrete were determined. Information developed and reported herein was required by the Bechtel Corporation in the design and safety evaluation of the prestressed-concrete nuclear containment structure. |
