Abstract: The computer program CUFRBC can be used to investigate or design basins or channels for a variety of load conditions based on a two-dimensional frame analysis of a 1-ft slice of the U-frame. The soil loading on the walls may be obtained by empirical coefficients, active or passive wedge analyses with corrections for at-rest conditions, or inputing force-deformation curves for the walls. Hydraulic loads are automatically computed from water elevations and drain data. Foundation reaction pressures may be computed using a simple equilibrium approach or a Winkler spring on elastic foundation model. Design may be by allowable stress or strength design procedures, using American Concrete Institute or Corps criteria. Output includes member pressures, shears, moments, and stress or strength results at discrete points. Graphical output is available. NOTE: This file is large.
