Description: Miscellaneous Paper
Abstract: Three rapid-hardening, cement-based materials were evaluated for their effectiveness in repairing partial-depth concrete pavement spalls. The materials included Five Star® Highway Patch, Rapid Set® Concrete, and Master Builders Set-45®. The evaluations included both laboratory and field testing. Recommendations are provided for material selection for future projects. These recommendations are dependent on placement temperature and allowable curing duration, prior to opening the repaired area to traffic. Recommendations are also provided for test methods to be included in simiJar future evaluations of cementitious spall repair materials.
