Description: Miscellaneous Paper
Abstract: This study was performed to determine responses of single piles in sands subjected to cyclic lateral loading and compare the results with predicted responses based on in-situ pressuremeter tests. The pressuremeter method used for predicting pile response to monotonic lateral loading is applicable to piles which will experience little or no degradation in flexural stiffness such as steel piles and prestressed concrete piles loaded less than the prestress.
